Scrap Iron Sun

Biography

Scrap Iron Sun has been together since 2008, with singer/song writers Scott Cleveland and George Condon, who have been writing and playing together for many years. The line up is completed with Ryan Bell on bass and David Condon on drums.
In 2010, Scrap Iron Sun, delivered “Getting a Rusty Tan.” The same sense of discovery and good humor shows up on this disc as well as their latest release "Recycled" in 2012. Although the band’s sound is largely rooted in the classic rock of the Who, the Kinks and a host of others, unexpected artistic decisions sprinkled liberally throughout the tracks on both albums keeps the music from sounding generic or forgettable. The album consists of mid-high tempo songs that have great sounding chord progressions and very catchy lyrics that stay in your head. The songs have various influences in them that make each track distinctive but the collection of sounds works well together. Overall it is a fun sound that anyone can enjoy and captures the attitudes of the artists themselves.
