Security In Numbers “S.I.N” are a Eugene Oregon punk rock band that was formed in June of 2010; by Asher Fay(vocals/guitar), Josh Kile(bass/b.vocals) and Joel Williamson(drums/b.vocals).They performed their first show at the Black Forest in Eugene, OR on December 4th, 2010. With their brand of Punk Rock meets the blues “S.I.N” surpassed everyone’s expectations and left the crowd wanting more. S.I.N. recorded a 6 track self-titled e.p. which they made available for free download for a time in 2011. From that e.p. they did a music video of their popular blues punk song “Christmas Eve 96’”. Soon after S.I.N. did a live performance on Eugene’s meet the band in which they performed fan favorites, “bragging rights”, “Pain”, “Christmas eve 96’”, “someone” and “way to go”. On August 18th of 2011 they added Dana Mainenti into the band and performed their first show with this line up on September 30th. S.I.N. later won an online competition to play for a Portland Record label. DRD Records had S.I.N. perform 3 shows in the end S.I.N. was offered a developmental deal. While in Portland performing for DRD records punk hero Bobby Shayer of Bad Religion showed up and watched the show, making all in S.I.N.s night one to remember.
As time passed S.I.N. got in the studio with local favorite Etzel Leguizamon from the Cow/punk band the Lowman and recorded two tracks; “do you ever feel so lonely” and rerecorded “Christmas Eve 96’”. Soon after the S.I.N. boys went to Sprout City studios and recorded with Jesse Myers the remaining 9 tracks “Believe”, “Bittersweet”, “A place to be”, “I was blue”, “In between the lines”, “indifference”, “age of technology”, “ardor & persuasion” and “bragging rights”. After laying down the tracks Dana left the band due to personal issues. The remaining nine tracks from the record are currently being mixed and mastered by Matthew Feltes with central node productions, and the band plans a summer due date for their debut 11 track self-titled album.
