Sewage

Sewage a NYC Punk Rock band created in 1990 in NYC's Lower East Side in Tompkins Square Park in Tent City is a street punk band whose songs are fun, melodic,in fast moving progressions and sometimes angry anthems about rioting in the chaotic neighborhoods of the ole NEW York. The band is documented in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Museum in a documentary about Punk Rock in 1994. Sewage performed the very last show that infamous Scum Rocker G>G> ALLIN performed at and died of a drug overdose after performing on June 27th of 1993. Sewage performed at the Pot Parade in 1992 with popular acts Cypress Hills, Biggie Smalls and Onyx...all acts of a different genre..the rap genre, but everyone loved the band as the audience all cheered for the band to perform more songs , even though their set was over. SEWAGE performed at Tompkins Square Park Riot Memorials which memorialized the riots in the late 80's and early 90's(which Spike Polite actually fought in) over the disparity between the social and class systems which gentrification bring and the loss of the right to express oneself in a society that is fastly becoming McDonald ized. While the musicians of the band are all decked out in shinning punk rock studded leather jackets, combat boots, stretch jeans or army fatigues still, the songs hold current social value as the economy never recovered from the economic recession. Sewage has newer material out in The Post Release Supervision Sessions regarding those issue reflected in songs like 'Better Days". Previous to the new album, SEWAGE worked on the ABC/DISNEY movie produced by "Spike Lee" titled the "SUMMER OF SAM", as well as having worked with David Letterman of the Late Show on CBS. SEWAGE performs great shows and will be touring soon
