Sharon Lia
As an outlet that gives her creativity a route to escape she has been writing, singing, and playing piano her whole life. Having lived in a musical household, she credits her parents for her early musical inclinations. Her first solo performance was when she was 12 and fans described her as a great talent with beautiful tone and control over her voice.
She wrote her first song at 14 and proceeded with formal training that would enhance her talents. She performed her first original instrumental piano piece at 17 and received a standing ovation and accolades. She recorded her debut Contemporary Pop CD in 2005, having already released a Children's album in 2001.
When songwriter hall of fame writer Linda Creed passed on in 1986, (The Greatest Love of All, You Make Me Feel Brand New, You Are Everything, Rubber Band Man, to name a few that Linda penned) she left behind songs unreleased and in a vault. Sharon Lia recorded those songs with her producers Kenny Kirby and Jack Kearton. The title track “Welcome To My World” was written by Linda Creed and Lonnie Jordan of the band “War” over 20 years ago but was never completed. Sharon Lia had the honor to finish writing that bridging a gap between then and now.
