I started writing songs at the age of twenty three, the first song I wrote was "Daddy see what you have done" recorded in Orlando, Fla. From there my life took a turn, I began singing as a teenager at teen town, in many different clubs. I wrote two songs for the gospel group "Velvet and evangels" - You can't cross jordon alone & When he reached down his hand for me. I entered Los Vegas singing contest in Jacksonville, Fla. and the annual fair with Mel Tillis. Performed on the little opry in Dothan, Ala. With Hank Williams Jr. & TG Shepherd along with many others. I knew as a child this is what I wanted to do with my life. I always had a great love for music, sung at many churches everywhere I went. I grew up in a family of five brothers and one sister. My mother and grandmother were the greatest imspiration in my life, they guided my steps to where I am today. At twenty three I met a writer from canada, Tex Alexander, who was an established writer of his own. We started writing togather and I recorded many of his songs. From there to Nashville, Tenn. where I recorded for Bill Walker, music producer of the Grand Ole Opry. Recorded four songs with him, Six weeks every summer, Candle in the wind, Lonesome woman & Baby talk. Six month's later I met Tommy Hill, president of Gusto records, where I recorded Ain't no big thing, This time & Rainy night in my world. Great world of sound where I recorded Finder's keepers & How about mine. In ninteen seventy-nine I met the man I would marry. Fred Swanson who was an established artist and musician of his own, we married April 1982 in Jacksonville, Fla. Where we began singing as a duo group up and down the coast and south east U.S. Again my life took another road I would travel, back to the foundation and roots of my childhood to the music the Lord wanted me to sing. In 2010 we were lead to Hendersonville, Tenn. where we met Edy & Ava Joyner at TBN Trinity music city. We met with a great bunch of people and fantastic musicians. There we recorded the songs the lord had given. May God bless each and everyone who had a part in this journey with us, and to those who listen and buy our music.
