www.shuanhernlee.com 8 year old piano prodigy, Shuan Hern Lee, with the gift of perfect pitch and the capability to memorise sounds and music scores quickly, started having piano lessons and composing at 2 and half with his dad, Yoon Sen Lee, who is a musician. Shuan Hern has won his first competition at the age of 2 and 9 months. He has performed with Yoon Sen in Europe and in Asia since three years old.
Since age of 4, Shuan Hern has won various international prizes including the Hong Kong Open Piano competition in 2007 and Buono and Bradshaw Music Competition in 2009, American Protégé in 2010 and American Association for the Development of the Gifted and Talented (Passion for Music) Music Competitions from 2009 to 2011. He performed at New York’s Merkin Hall in 2009, Bechstein Music Centre, Steinway Hall and the renowned Carnegie Hall in 2010.
At a very young age of 7, Shuan Hern achieved an amazing record as he obtained an honours “A” in his 8th grade piano performance exam of the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB).
With his huge success in piano performances, Shuan Hern has appeared in Australia’s Got Talent show, Today Tonight, Sunrise Channel 7 TV network of Australia and also various radio programmes.
Shuan Hern made his debut piano concerto performance with Mueller International Orchestra in Brisbane 2010, performing Beethoven’s piano concerto no.1. He has been invited to perform in many festivals and events such as Singapore International Kids Performing Festival - Prodigies of the World concert, Australian of the Year Award Ceremony 2010, Dudu Fisher’s concert in Sydney 2011 and various gala concerts. He also performs regularly at the Government House Ballroom concerts for the governor and the public. His performances were highly acclaimed and always inspirational for many.
Shuan Hern involves frequently in many charity concerts and in ensemble groups. As a composer, he has composed more than 14 pieces of music. Besides playing the piano and composing, Shuan Hern also sings in the Bridge Junior Choir and plays the violin.
