Signal Hill

Signal Hill is an instrumental band from Los Angeles, CA and New York City, NY . With influences such as The Mercury Program, Tristeza, and others, they play melodic, mid tempo, vocal-less ditties.

Signal Hill is Tim Cooper (drums), Dave Masters (guitar), Brian Vasallo (bass/keys), and Rishi Arora (guitar). Signal Hill the band was originally constructed as a writing project for both Brian and Rishi in the first months of 2003 . Members came and went making it difficult for the project to ever gain ground, however the music was never forgotten only left waiting for the perfect additions. Across town Elegant Elephant, a solo project of Dave was undergoing similar difficulties. Good fortune was met one night at an M83/Six Part Seven show as Dave ran into old friend Tim Cooper. The likes of both groups found grace in each others music formulating by the fall of 04.

Their debut Self Titled EP was released Feb 10th 2007 and their full length album More After We’re Gone was release on June 9th 2009.

July of 2010 brought along two additional releases: Distance (limited to 300 copies all with silkscreened sleeves, and hand written phrases from stories of the band) and a 7” release of California is Too Long B/W Down To Bed (limited to 300 copies hand numbered and pressed on white vinyl.

In late fall, Dave Masters and Rishi Arora, both relocated to New York City. With the band now bi-coastal, they are finishing up work on their 2nd full length album, due out Fall/Winter 2012 called "Chase the Ghost".
