Silver Cypher

Biography

Silver Cypher is an ecclectic mix of heavy-metal style. At times thrasy, at times power, at times progressive . . . all in all, it's a style of music all its own. Focusing on themes concerned with science, philosophy, religion (anti-religion), life and death, Silver Cypher creates music of the human condition, from the human condition, for the human condition.

Formed in March 2005, Silver Cypher is a progressive metal band from Cincinnati Ohio. The American quartet lead by Singularitarian Jon Krech are best known for expressing thought-provoking, emotional music which thematically culminates at the point of where fantasy meets reality. Though heavily influenced by American and British Power metal of the 80's and 90's, the band incorporate elements of a variety of heavy metal styles such as thrash & doom metal into their songs, all the while making use of a wide range of vocal styles in varying time signatures, and manages to create their own uniquely modern sound classified by their fans as the sub-genera dark power metal.

Drawing influences from bands such as Iced Earth, Type O Negative, Nevermore, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Tool, Acid Bath, and Macabre Silver Cypher's goal is to provide the masses with mind-expanding, thought provoking metal music!
