I've been playing drums since the age of 9. Stevie Wonder's 'Hotter than July' was the first album I ever bought - and 'Master Blaster' the first track my Dad (a drummer also) showed me what to play behind the kit.
Noise restrictions and cranky neighbours steered me to other instruments, namely keyboard and guitar. I've never had formal training, regretfully - should've taken Mum's piano lesson offer when I was a kid.
Playing in a Jazz funk outfit, Banana, during the 90's in Sydney Australia, I learnt a lot about music. Sean Wayland, Cameron Undy and Pete Zografakis were great players and mentors.
Currently working in the film/animation industry, the digital recording age has enabled immerse myself in what I love.
Hope to get more grooves out soon.
