Biography

Award winning storyteller Simon Brooks has captivated people all over New England. He began telling stories at school (!?) and the stories got longer and deeper, until he met a professional storyteller and realized that this was the life for him! Simon began spinning yarns and telling tales for audiences in 1991 and in 2003 became a professional storyteller. He is a member of the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling and the National Storytelling Network.

Combining his passion for children's literature and folklore, Simon has brought tales to many people performing using unique voices to animate his tales, bringing the stories to life. Simon’s often-funny storytelling delights children and adults alike.

Hear folk and faerie tales told by British storyteller, Simon Brooks. Audience members, when they've finished their imaginary voyage and have stopped shaking from laughter, or left deep in thought, will wonder how so many memorable characters and voices came out of one man. Lively storytelling for ages 4 and up; enjoyed by ALL the family. "The children laughed and screeched and rolled around on the gym floor in delight (at least they rolled around as much as the teachers would let them).
