From the soul of Aretha Franklin, to the energy of a Patti Labelle, coupled with an anointing that is unparalleled to any other, Simply Rena is touching the hearts of many across the nation.

Born in Rochester NY, as the baby of her family, she began her singing ministry at the age of three. As a small child her father, Richard Williams Sr encouraged and inspired Rena to sing. The song that she would would practice and sing all over the city was “I Shall Not Be Moved”, and she says that it became her testimony in life.
With Serena’s strong gospel roots and her jazzy improvs she leaves the audience on the edge of their seats. It is evident through such vocal depth that Serena has taken the time to perfect her gift. Serena attended the High School of performing Arts in Buffalo, NY and has since taken personal interest in the development of her voice. She has taken several young artist under her her wing and is raising them up to be anointed worship leaders and dynamic artists.
Rena has an extensive list of influential artists that she has be blessed to sing with such as Kim Burrell, the Clark Sisters, Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin, Shirley Ceasar, Tremaine Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Men of Standard, Earnest Pugh, Doobie Powell, John P. Kee, and Jonathan Nelson to name a few. She released her freshman CD in 2006 which took the Western New York music community by storm! Rena was signed to Tyscot Records with a group she used to sing with known as U-neek. They are best known for their hit song “Good Morning Holyspirit”. She is getting ready to release her highly anticipated sophomore project entitled “It’s Over”. This project promises to take its’ listener to a place of worship and radical praise!
Inspite of all of her professional accomplishments Serena is most honored and takes great pride in being the mother of her four children Tyrone Jr, Diamond, Maiya and Treasure. You are likely to see her youngest baby standing on the side of the stage while her mom leads people in worship.
