Siobhan Owen

18 year old Siobhan was born in Wales with Welsh and Irish heritage. Classically trained, Siobhan turns her haunting soprano voice and delicate harp playing to a repertoire of traditional Celtic songs. At a young age, she has already recorded three albums, received prestigious awards for both her classical and Celtic singing and has played at major festivals throughout Australia. Siobhan will be making her international debut in 2013 with performances in the UK and US.

Siobhan has performed at Folk and Celtic festivals throughout Australia, including Celtica (SA), Kapunda Celtic Festival (SA), Fleurieu Folk Festiva (SA), National Folk Festival (ACT), National Celtic Festival (VIC), Australian Celtic Festival (NSW), Cygnet Folk Festival (TAS) and Tamar Valley Folk Festival (TAS). She is also a regular performer at concerts, recitals, weddings, functions and radio shows with both her Celtic and Classical singing. Siobhan’s Adelaide Fringe Festival debut was in 2008 when, aged 14, she was invited to sing at one of French Singer/Harpist Cecile Corbel’s Fringe shows (after they met on Myspace!). It was Cecile who inspired Siobhan to learn harp!

Siobhan's second album “Celestial Echoes” was released in September 2009 and includes Traditional Celtic songs accompanied by harp and Classical pieces with piano accompaniment - "The recording shows, without pretence, the beauty and honesty in Siobhan's vocals." Her third album "Lilium" was released in December 2010 - with a similar format of traditional Celtic and Classical pieces - "Lilium - the Lily - symbolises Purity, Beauty and Serenity, so is a fitting title for Siobhan's third album which has been produced to showcase the purity and beauty of Siobhan's voice and the serenity of her delicate harp playing. "

Siobhan is a truly enchanting act!
