Siobhan Owen

Adelaide based singer/harpist Siobhan was born in Wales in the small town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, to a Welsh father and Irish mother. A classically trained singer from the age of 9, Siobhan took up harp in 2008 after being invited by French singer/harpist Cecile Corbel (who she met on Myspace) to sing at her Adelaide Fringe Festival show. Siobhan was so inspired by Cecile’s accompaniment of her singing, that she decided she needed to learn this instrument herself! In 2010 Siobhan presented her own Adelaide Fringe Festival show "Celestial Echoes" to great acclaim.

Siobhan is a multi-award winning performer and has produced 4 indie albums. The latest, "Storybook Journey", receives airplay on radio stations worldwide, and has so far received the following awards:

BBC Wales ~ "Album of the Week" (September 2012)
Classical-Crossover UK ~ "2012 Album of the Year"
Radio West Wales ~ 2013 "Song of the Year" for the track "Cariad"
Australian Celtic Music Awards ~ 2014 "Best Contemporary Celtic Song" for "Caledonia" & "Best Producer of an Album" to Quentin Eyers.

In 2012 Siobhan proudly represented her birth country by singing the Welsh National Anthem at the Australia v Wales Rugby Test Match to a packed Sydney stadium and televised to millions worldwide!

Having already performed at major festivals and concerts around Australia, Siobhan made her UK, US and French debuts in 2013, with concerts in Wales and England in January, headlining the Los Angeles St David's Day Festival in March, and performing at a media showcase in Nantes, France, to promote the "Tristan & Yseult" project she is involved in (see below). While in France, they shot a promotional video of one of her Yseult songs – “A Prayer for my Lover” (

In May 2013 Siobhan was 'discovered' on youtube by French songwriter/producer Alan Simon, who invited her to be part of his latest project as the voice of Yseult for a CD, live premiere show, DVD and tour, based on the legendary love story of "Tristan et Yseult". The CD (including 4 solo songs from Siobhan) was released on March 3, 2014, and the World Premiere show was on March 7, 2014 in Nantes, France. A video of the live show will be shown on national French TV in October 2014 and released on DVD shortly after. (Trailer: The production team are planning a World tour for 2015-2016.

Alan Simon also invited Siobhan to play "La Sirene" (The Mermaid) in a new children’s production called "Cap'taine Kid - Le Petit Arthur". The Premiere was held in Ploemeur, Brittany in December 2014. A CD of songs from the show will be released in 2015. (

In December 2014, Siobhan completed the Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice – Performance and Pedagogy) at Adelaide University’s Elder Conservatorium.

In February 2015, Siobhan performed as the voice of Yseult in the four Premiere shows of the Russian version of "Tristan & Yseult" at Novosibirsk Theater of Musical Comedy, Siberia. Also in 2015, Siobhan performed in festivals in Australia and Japan, and had successful tours of Europe and Ireland, as well as concerts around the UK.
