Skaltros

Biography

Skaltros is a one-man black metal / ambient band based in Ketchikan -- a small island community within the rainforests of Southeast Alaska's Alexander Archipelago. Skaltros' music deals with themes of the individual's relationship to nature, superstition, myth, fear, death, and esoteric spirituality. Skaltros is one of few Alaskan black metal bands in existence (the only BM band in Southeast Alaska), and is perhaps Alaska's most consistent and prolific black metal artist.

In addition to singing and playing all instruments, Skaltros frontman Nukshean builds his own guitars and effects pedals.
