Since their first concert in Feb 2011 the Skamanians unique yet authentic sound has struck a chord with Ska fans and concert organisers alike and immediatly saw the group catapulted onto the stages of some of Europe’s most prestigious Festivals including: Reggae Geel – (BE 2011 and 2012), Jazz a Vienne – (FR), Beautiful Days - (UK), Boom Town – (UK), One Love – (UK), Folkestone Ska Splash – (UK 2013 & 2014), Jazzebre – (FR), Jazz a Oleron (FR), Eeklo in het Park (BE). To date the band has played well over 150 concerts.

Their 1st album “One For the Founders” (2012) earned the accolade from Lol of MoonSka Records: “The nearest I have heard to the true heart, soul and spirit of The Skatalites” and from Music - “One For the Founders” catches the band almost effortlessly recapturing some of the best all time classics in the studio, but with a modern twist while still keeping the authentic feel.

In 2014; the band’s ability to recreate the original sounds of “Studio One”, saw them invited to team up with some of the legendary labels Ska and Reggae singers “The Originals” (Winston Francis, Dennis Alcapone, Carl St Clair, Count Prince Miller and Jimmy James) to produce the track “You’ll lose a good thing” for Specialized – Mad Not Cancer (released in August 2014). Stage shows with Dennis Alcapone and Winston Francis swiftly followed and continue.
“Ride Again” (the second album) featuring the best of the bands all original tunes was released in July 2014 and is available for free download here
