Dan Slider and Dann Glenn met back in the 1970’s, while touring with various show bands.
With many tours under their belts, Dann Glenn returned home to Los Angeles, and Dan Slider returned home to Chicago. After a short hiatus Slider told Glenn he was interested in studying orchestration, so Dann arranged for Dan to study with none other than Hollywood orchestrator, Dr. Albert Harris, whose composition for guitarist Andres Segovia was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
After completing his studies with Dr. Harris, Dan Slider went on to become one of Los Angeles’ most notable orchestrator/arranger/composers. He has credits for many wonderful films such as “Anger Management,” starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler and “Good Advice,” starring Charlie Sheen and Angie Harmon. Dan’s many television credits for theme songs and underscore include such shows as “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” and “Crimes Of The Century.”
Dann Glenn is a guitarist/composer/author, with fifteen solo releases to his credit, including a catalog of six modern symphonies. (See links!) Dann also is an author, with his first novel “Almost A Proverb,” being published in 2004, and his second, “Good Friends Are Hard To Kill,” being published in 2010. Dann is currently working with his Jazz Fusion ensemble the Eleven Eleven Orchestra, featuring Jazz legend Jeff Berlin, fretless wonder Baba Elefante, and renowned drummer Ronnie Ciago.
