Slip-On Stereo

Funky and fresh Brisbane-based 4-piece band, Slip-on Stereo is considered the "band to see" since breaking onto the scene in early 2012.
Self-described as "summer sounds", their style is a unique blend of Pop, Funk, RnB, Reggae & anything else they feel inspired to throw in the mix. These boys don't look like easing up any time soon with 2 EP’s already released and an album due Later this year be sure to keep an eye out for the SOS boys near you.
Zeek Power and Clint Wallace lead the band vocally while also holding the rhythm on guitars. Their trademark vocal sound and mix of gospel-flavoured harmonies were honed from playing in a small church band in Rockhampton. Clint is a familiar face as ex-bass guitarist of well-known Rockhampton born band, Busby Marou and Zeek is the latest YouTube sensation with his solo work under his name “Zeek Power”. Former Rookie band members and uncle/nephew relations, bass guitarist Phil Moore and drummer Ash Moore hold the heartbeat of the band together.
Slip-on Stereo have recently been apart of the latest channel 9 and Brisbane radio station b105’s pop up shows campaign which has seen them have the opportunity of supporting numerous local and international acts such as: Bonnie Anderson, Ricky-Lee, Samantha Jade, ILLY, Dami Im, The Vamps, Busby Marou and many more.
After already making waves in the local music scene slip on stereo have been looking interstate with support shows with the platinum single selling local Brisbane band ‘Sheppard’ throughout the year, leaving a wave of fans in their wake. With their latest single ‘Vacant Space’ being released on commercial radio in July, its fair to say the boys have set their sights towards a big finish to the second half of 2014.
With a calendar full of gigs and a full-length album in progress coupled with multiple local and interstate festivals and gaining the support of commercial radio, 2014 is definitely the year for the SOS boys.
