Smokin' Cadillac

Smokin’ Cadillac is a Garage Blues band consisting of 5 young folks who dig Raw Blues.

Their roots lie in the Westland/The Hague area of The Netherlands. Elaborating on ancient traditions and Blues styles they try to play their interpretation of the Blues in a compelling and refreshing new way. Making it a Raw and No Nonsense version of The Blues, playing it with passion and creating chemistry on stage that’s unheard of and new to The Dutch Blues Scene.
Smokin’ Cadillac finds it’s origin with Lesley, Marco and Eric but became a complete formation after the arrival of Jasper on bass and Peter replacing the former drummer. Although the musical background of each member in the band is different, one thing is for certain; they all share the passion for straightforward Blues. Not many bands can match up to the pounding, stomping & danceable energy these guys create on stage.

Smokin’ Cadillac has got the ability to play at small venues and bars up to large Blues festivals. Burning the roof on all of them! In the first year of
their existence they created a track record of 30 gigs in venues such as; Parkhotel, The Shack, Dijkrock, Ouwe Droog, Lokaal Vredebreuk, O’ Carolans, Thom’s Inn, Supermarkt, Blues Oosterhout and many more.

On May 12 Smokin' Cadillac released their first EP named Devils Ride containing 3 original Smokin’ Cadillac songs which can be found on both Spotify & iTunes. Their style is a mix of songs from artists such as The Red Devils, Seasick Steve, Cream, The Black Keys and old legends like Muddy Waters & Robert Johnson. These influences are the fundament for their own songs; Devils Ride, Untitled and Bitch & Whine.

The future looks bright for Smokin’ Cadillac with their ambition to play a live gig every week and they will keep on writing new songs for their upcoming LP that's planned for early 2014.
