Deriving from the West Texas oil patch, metalcore ensemble So It Begins erupted out of their arenose surroundings proclaiming an intact brew of sophisticated riffs, ferocious breakdowns, and barbarous vocals.
Formed in 2013 by vocalist Staton Roberts and guitarists Jordan Parker and Tai Lopez. So It Begins recorded their inaugural EP Abduction soon after forming with session drummer John Luna and producer Robert Beltran (Shattered Sun / Victory Records) at Precision Studio & Production in Corpus Christ, TX.
This activeness did not falter, So It Begins recorded their second EP effort Mirage in 2014, also with producer Robert Beltran and new drummer Anthony Aguilar, bassist Bryce Long and guitarist Clayton King, making them a quintet.
So It Begins has made a name for themselves in the local scenes of New Mexico and Texas, opening up for juggernaut metal acts such as August Burns Red, Miss May I, Chelsea Grin, and Motionless In White. So It Begins played on the Battle of the Bands Ernie Ball Stage at the 2014 Van Warped Tour Albuquerque, NM date and 2015 SXSW Music Festival. So It Begins has also opened for other well known metal operations in Affiance, Everyone Dies In Utah, Nevada Rose, InDirections, Silent Planet, Sworn In, etc.
So It Begins traveled back to Corpus Christi and recorded a new single with producer Robert Beltran in February 2016. Soon after recording, they lost their drummer Anthony Aguilar and bassist Bryce Long due to personal issues.
So It Begins will record their third EP in the summer of '16.
