Imagine your self in a labyrinth of sound, escaping from reality with abstract waves and then waking up to reality with the thunder of their rock sound. This is the sonic experience you get from this rock quartet. This visionary rock group was formed in New York City in the spring of 1998. Sonido Secreto’s founding members are Pozo, Gaia and Oveck. Pozo (Guitars/keyboards) is a painter that shifted his interest to guitar playing. Gaia (Drum/Percussions) started his musical career by playing drums for several local acts. Oveck (Lead Vocals/Guitar) was a childhood friend of Pozo and Gaia, he joined the band after the three of them came across at a rock concert in New York City. After the departure of three different bass players, Sol (Bass/Vocals), who happened to be a close friend and fan of the band was called upon the fill the void.
In the early days, Sonido Secreto was categorized as a blend of Grunge and Psychedelic rock with subliminal sound effects and samples. As the band went through several members loss, their sound evolved into a more progressive approach by turning into blues and art rock.

Sonido Secreto released their first album (Eternal Jam) in April 2005. Eternal Jam is a psychedelic rock/blues trip of four songs clocking 50 minutes in total. The long awaited first full length album “Voodoo Sonico” is due out in the summer of 2007. Voodoo Sonico would satisfy any rock fan with its mixture of blues, hard rock, psychedelic rock, grunge rock and pop rock. This production would also be Sonido Secreto’s first bilingual album (English/Spanish) and the first release under the record label RBP.
Live performances are highlighted by the use of abstract visuals which are conceived by the band. Sonido Secreto has performed at several of New York’s and other U.S. cities key venues, clubs such as CBGB’s 313, CBGB’s, BMI’s New York Latin Alternative showcase at SOB'S, CONGRESS THEATER (Chicago) with La Barranca from Mexico, RITZ THEATER (New Jersey) with Los Ilegales of Spain, ARLENES GROCERY, D-ANTIGUA, THE BITTER END, DOWNTIME, WEBSTER HALL with Rata Blanca from Argentina and THE VILLAGE UNDERGROUND.

Transformar la música e inspiración en magia fue el motor que impulsó a un grupo de amigos de origen dominicano
a llevar a la realidad esta enigmática agrupación de rock psicodélico conocida bajo el nombre de
SONIDO SECRETO, cuyo nacimiento en el año 1998 tuvo como ^cuna^ la ciudad de Nueva York donde actualmente residen.
En sus inicios, la metamorfosis de sus integrantes se hizo presente para concretizar a través del tiempo
lo que actualmente podemos presenciar en los escenarios y disfrutar a través de las ondas radiales.
Luego de experimentar cambios en la banda, en el año 2004 editan para sacar a la luz pública
un EP independiente "ETERNAL JAM" con solo 4 temas de larga duración haciendo resaltar como un
"volcan" sus toques de blues y jazz que nos hace llegar como "wolves" al "penance to time" tras
escuchar esas notas que nos invitan a lo subliminal de un "celestial serenity".
Luego de varios años de trabajo incansable, oveck, gaia, pozo y sol eligen
el mes de julio del año 2008 tomando como escenario la
ciudad de miami para el lanzamiento oficial de su segunda producción
"VOODOO SONICO" bajo el sello independiente RBP records, con 13 temas inéditos incluyendo uno en ingles "wasted".
SONIDO SECRETO no es solo una agrupación de rock,
es un conjunto de arte abstracto que ha dejado huellas en lugares como Puerto Rico, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Guatemala, etc
y la misma ciudad de la gran manzana las cuales han sido testigos de su música.
A lo largo de su trayectoria musical, han compartido escenarios con reconocidas bandas de rock
como La Barranca, Jaguares y Pastilla de México; Rata Blanca, Babasonicos de Argentina;
Ilegales de España entre otras; y han participado en un sin número de festivales,
congresos y conferencias de Rock dentro de los Estados Unidos.
