BIOGRAPHY
Sons of an Illustrious Father is a band from the Hudson Valley. Combining traditional folk, blues, country, and early gospel forms and aesthetics with punk's raw drive, Sons has a sound at once both ancient and modern, both eclectic and distinctly American.

Sons have played their combination of distinct originals and modern takes on the traditional songs that gave the band their early inspiration extensively in their home state of New York, and, as of the summer of 2010, have toured throughout the Northeast, South, and Midwest United States.
Sons' eponymous debut, their recent EP, We Are Dead and Reborn, and their second full-length album, One Body, are all available now on Bandcamp, CDBaby, and iTunes.
