Sons of the Delta

Sons of the Delta play an earthy, passionate blend of electric/acoustic juke joint and street corner delta blues flavoured with the many roots music styles from the southern states of the USA. The ‘Sons’ are fronted by two of the top bluesmen in the southwest UK - Mark Cole and Rick Edwards. Between them they have nearly 50 years experience of playing the blues both in Europe, the USA and Australia. Their debut album One For The Road was released in 2004. Since then they have become regulars on the UK festival circuit and have visited Mississippi many times where they played in juke joints and at festivals and recorded their latest album, the critically acclaimed Made in Mississippi, with guests the legendary Pinetop Perkins and Sam Carr. They are booking the world over, both as a duo and four piece band, at clubs, art centres, festivals and bars - in fact any venue that has an appreciative blues/roots audience. Contact them by ‘phone or email. Visit the official website www.sonsofthedelta.co.uk or www.myspace.com/sonsofthedelta for much more info.
