BIOGRAPHY
I had a friend whose girlfriend used to say to him, "You're spun, honey." That little phrase stuck in my head and I felt it described the music I like to write quite well - Spun Honey. I played the Whiskey-a-Go-Go in a band called Nirvana a few years before that other band out of Seattle broke onto the scene, I've been in a country band, toured with a jazz big band, and listened to everything in between. I like to think there's a range of styles all mixed together into the music, usually starting with the bass line and built from there, but ultimate, for me, songs are all about telling stories and that's where my real love is, writing a lyric, singing a song, telling a story.
