Biography

In a musical journey that began in the heyday of 'punk', Sputnik has busked with Eddie Izzard & jammed with Jools Holland.
He accidentally became a session musician for BMG, and has performed at thousands of venues & festivals throughout Europe; with the infamous trio 'Jimmy The Weazel', once doing over 250 gigs in one year, including five gigs in three countries, in two days.
He's drummed for numerous bands including Skagal, The X-Ocettes, & The Audience, and played guitar for the notorious Hot Diggedy Dogs who terrorized shopping centre's up and down the UK with their cardboard covered guitars and dustbins, and were regulars at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Club; not to mention a live appearance on ITV with Screaming Lord Sutch... but that's another story (as is Sputnik’s MA in music composition, and the lost weekend with Iron Maiden).
Throughout this journey Sputnik has continuously written songs, with over 160 published to date. Sputnik currently lives in rural West Wales and when not writing, singing, or staring at the mountains, he drums and tours with the Surfin’ Lungs (signed to Wild Punk Records: Spain).
