Steady On

Steady On performs music of faith written to encourage us all in our journey with God through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Throughout its existence, Steady On has been the means by which Jeff Sylvester has shared his original songs with the Christian community. Currently Steady On is made up of Jeff Sylvester who plays guitar and sings (and sometimes Hammond) and Jenny Morse, a very passionate and talented vocalist. Their music ranges from soft ballads to aggressive pop rock, but always laced with strong vocal harmonies.

They are very exciting to have finished recording a second Steady On album, “Through The Darkness”, released in August of 2013. The album contains songs telling the emotional story of the darkest time of Jeff’s life- a time when he found himself betrayed, hurt, and angered by so many that he trusted- a time when the Lord stripped away religious pretense that stunted his growth- a time where he found a new empathy for the abused and broken who have been brushed aside- a time when he found himself running the race of faith as he never had before. It is Steady On’s hope that these songs will be an encouragement to others who have been through similar dark times and wonder if anyone understands.

The new album is not all, however. Jeff and Jenny, along with some of their friends, have been working hard not just to record, but to perform live- but in a unique and special way. They have been using the platform StageIt to broadcast shows on the web for fans to watch from the comfort of their own homes. Enjoying the ability to interact with people from distant locations, Jeff and Jenny believe the power of a the web can be a great way to interact with fans, delivering music not only via download, but live stream as well. Make sure to check out their next performance on Stage It!
