For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required."(Luke 12:18). “Motherhood and Ministry…I am humbled that GOD has entrusted me with so much”.
STEPHANIE Simpson has been actively singing since the age of 4 years and grew up in a close-knit family of singers. It would have been very difficult for her to stray from her solid church and music backgrounds. She has learned from GOD and her family, the gift of love, humility and compassion for everyone. These are all fundamental tools for effective ministry.
As an active minister and worship leader at her local church, STEPHANIE believes that the combined ministries of teaching and singing the Word of GOD makes her a force for the enemy to reckon with. Recently added to her awesome life testimony is the miracle of GOD’s healing, as STEPHANIE is a survivor of six brain surgeries in 2006. This experience, along with others she has endured, have birthed her sophomore CD project entitled “Miracle” and her new book, “Today I’ll Make Lemonade”.
Tagged “Brooklyn’s Sweetheart” (as she is a native New Yorker who now resides in Virginia) because of her sunny personality and her willingness to assist anyone in need, STEPHANIE has worked behind the scenes in the gospel music industry throughout the years for many of New York’s local artists, including the “Godfather of Gospel” the late Reverend Timothy Wright.
When it comes to her songwriting, STEPHANIE considers herself to be a “real-time” messenger penning the majority of her music. She has been blessed to share stages with the likes of Twinkie Clark, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Vickie Winans, Carly Simon, Kim Burrell, John P. Kee, and so many more music powerhouses. STEPHANIE has received national awards for “Best Alto Soloist” and “Best Choir Director – Female” in collegiate gospel choir competitions. The Lord has also allowed her to teach music seminars throughout the Tri-State area and minister as psalmist at many spiritual enrichment conferences.
STEPHANIE stands on the precept that whatever she does it’s for an audience of ONE. She believe that her GOD-given responsibility is to worship until atmospheres are changed. Lastly, she beams when anyone makes mention of her children…STEPHANIE is grateful to be the proud parent of three anointed children, David, Diamond and Briana.
“With all of this I am only left to say…"To GOD be the glory for the amazing things He has done."
