BIOGRAPHY

Stevan Brasel is an acoustic guitar playing singer/songwriter who writes and performs in the "Folk/Americana" style. His songs touch the place in all of us that responds to beautiful melodies, meaningful lyrics and catchy rhythms.
Steve comes from a small town in Southern Illinois. His music and personal roots run deep in the solid midwestern values of family, humor, determination and open honesty that permeate the rural landscape.
Songs from Steve’s three CD’s (“Canyon Grand”, “One Note” and “Sun and Plow”) are being downloaded and streamed on various Internet services; Pod-cast on “Upbeat Radio”, “Uncommon Ground”, “Nashville Radio- Not Just Country”; and are being played on radio station WMVY 92.7 "The Local Music Cafe", WKJC 104.7 “CW Junction” and TLC Radio FM106.7 “Brave New Frontiers”.
• Steve’s songs “Hello America” and “Book of Love” have been placed on CD’s by record companies and distributed across 4 continents.
• Steve’s background vocals were used in the movie “Bitterblue”.
• Steve’s song “Let It Go” has been used in a reality/documentary series called “Pure Stock”.
• Steve’s songs “Hello America” and “Let It Go” has been selected to be included in a charitable CD for the ALS Foundation.
