BIOGRAPHY
After hearing and watching great jazz artists perform at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, California, in the late 1960s’, Steven George Sander’s life changed. Rock & roll and folk music were favorites, but jazz shot to the top of his musical preference, and has remained ever since. For the last 30 years, he has steadily played background cocktail piano in some of the finest restaurants and hotels in Southern California.
In the early 1980s, his brief affair with Country music and a new found romantic interest, inspired his first original song, “Ain’t Been Lovin’ the Way I Feel Without You.” With so many years of playing standards behind him, he is currently shifting his talents to writing new songs and performing them as a guitar-strumming singer-songwriter, which has opened a new chapter in this talented artist’s career.
