Subsoil is cutting edge Hip-Hop Fusion to the root (Rochester, NY). Using a variety of musical approaches they form lyric-rich hip-hop music. Their high-energy live shows give equal weight to words & grooves. Subsoil explores a vast spectrum of music & lyric. "Hip-Hop Fusion" is the term that best describes thier style.

Subsoil blends hip-hop with many styles, focusing on diversity & verbal stimulation. Independent and self-sufficient, a burgeoning entity of creativity and progressive expression. They have been described as “stem-winding salesmen who know every razzle-dazzle switch in the pitchman's trade.” - "We play organic tru-school hip-hop fusion for all the curious ears."

Subsoil came together and evolved from a 2-Emcee rap group to a full band through many members and influences, that shaped what it is today.

Subsoil's debut full-length release entitled “Worm’s Eye View” (2009) was well received everywhere it reached. The new 5-song EP "Dirt Worship" is ready for release this Dec 2012.
