Susi Varming was born and raised in Longyearbyen, Spitzbergen, Svalbard, the world's northmost community.
She started playing the guitar as a child, and at the age of 12 she made her first public performance at "Huset" (the loval community house) in Longyearbyen.
Her first single, "Who are You?" was released in 1996, and she has been performing at a number of concerts and festivals.
Susi specializes in acoustic music accompnied by acoustic guitar only - the CD "Barefoot in the snow" (2001) is an example. Allthough the CD "Undressed" (2009) is more produced, and more in the direction of rock / country rock, Susi signals that the next release will probably head back towards the naked and acoustic expression.
Susi currently lives in Stavanger, Norway.
