I am a flautist, homeopath and flower essence practitioner working in the field of vibrational healing. I studied energy medicine, homeopathy and flower essences at the Lakeland College, the flute at the Royal Northern College of Music and English at the University of York. I am also a Reiki practitioner. Over the last two years I have been studying meditation and the cosmic chakras with Peter Tadd.
I have made a number of recordings and broadcasts with different orchestras and chamber groups. I am now working on a series of meditative CDs using the flute with Indonesian gamelan and Tibetan bells and singing bowls. My work has been inspired by Japanese contemporary music, the landscape of Dartmoor, the Tao, folklore, the Alaskan Essences, Bach, Feldman and many other great artists and musicians.
I have had several solo flute pieces written for me. The most recent one is by Stephen Goss, entitled The Sea of the Edge (2011). The Sea of the Edge is one of the oceans on the moon and it is from this cosmic perspective that I have been inspired: from the miniscule detail and the intelligence of the energy body to the vastness of the universe.
