Susie Hug

Biography

...'Shed A Tear' from the new SUSIE HUG album TUCSON MOONSHINE, featuring CALEXICO and produced by JD Foster

“Used to be I wouldn‟t dare, yesterday I didn‟t care…”, so sings Susie on probably the most Calexicana of cuts on her latest
album.

It‟s not like Susie did not have a pretty damn good pedigree of her own already, having fronted Reprise Records artist The
Katydids, with albums produced by the likes of Nick Lowe and Ian Broudie, as well as working with Fatima Mansions, The
Blue Aeroplanes and more recently Travis, who have provided back up on a previous solo LP, as well recording some of
Susie's tunes for their own releases, but still, it took a certain boldness to walk into Wavelab Studios in Tucson, Arizona and
on that first day of recording announce to some of the most well respected and in demand musicians of recent times that “I
want to make this record fearless”...

The CD album release June 14, 2010 on Vacliando '68
