Two-time Grammy Award winner and regional Emmy Award winner, Sylvia McNair, lays claim to a stellar career in the musical realms of opera, cabaret and musical theater. She is still holding out hopes for a Tony and an Oscar but she's not getting any younger! For the past 30 years, her journey has taken her from the Metropolitan Opera and the Salzburg Festival to the Philharmonic Orchestras of New York, Vienna and Berlin and then on to the Hollywood Bowl, the Rainbow Room, Jazz At Lincoln Center and Feinstein's At The Regency. As a classical artist, McNair was featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the London Times but she has also been featured on the cover of Cabaret Scenes (May 2011). As a cabaret musician, her debut at the famed Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel made critic Rex Reed swoon, "I could get used to this kind of ecstasy."
Her discography boasts more than 70 recordings. Hear her now in this jazz-infused recording of holiday favorites. Please visit SylviaMcNair.com for current news and contact information.
