"The Seattle duo comprises Adam Straney, aka Senator Adam, and Justin Neff, aka Justice, who defy description as they stir up the nastiest hybrid soundscapes I’ve heard in a distant minute. Call it trip-hop if you need to, but I heard one song that sounds like the unholy sonic offspring of Gibby Haines, Andrew Eldritch, Herby Hancock and Venetian Snares’ Aaron Funk. Seriously. Tracks like “Deconstructed Funk” and “Bad Weather Beach” are downright spooky. Six thumbs up for a beautiful balance of dirt and space." - Weekly Volcano Review
THE NEW LAW is based out of Seattle, WA. Adam began his musical career playing guitar, bass guitar, and drums in punk bands while growing up. In college, he discovered a new love for Drum 'n' Bass music, which soon led to DJing and producing. Justin has played the piano and saxophone in jazz and funk bands for more than half his life. The two came to meet while working at a movie theater during college to pay for the necessities of life (beer and gear). Adam had his own recording studio, so he and Justin joined forces to see what could become of their shared musical interests and backgrounds. The result was the deep, hypnotic, instrumental mindwarping music that has become their signature sound.
