THE SWEET KILL

Biography

The Sweet Kill was born from the death of a fragile, passionate rock nymph. Singer, songwriter Pete Mills, emerged from the suicide of band mate and creative partner, Toni Forbes, with a pen and guitar to capture the fractured realm of love and death. At once The Sweet Kills sound became amplified in electronic-rock. The ferocious lyrics articulate the black-hearted voice of alienation; rage and angst, clawed out of the dark experience of the self-inflicted torture of lives entrenched with artistic minds. The stark contrast of grief that inspires the symphonic melodies and dance rhythms shakes listeners to the core. Against the Los Angeles skyline, Mills flaunts his first-hand knowledge of the depths of addiction to expose, through art, the psychological virus within the world we occupy. The band lineup organically evolved encompassing a diverse talent bound together by their common aim of emancipation. The Sweet Kill will donate all proceeds of the “Suicide EP” to the treatment of addiction and suicide prevention. The Suicide EP’s objective is to foster a means of dialogue, identification, and awareness for the afflicted. Don’t rob The Sweet Kill of the opportunity of getting to know you! Listen with an open heart and an open mind.
