Southern hip hop duo T.H.U.G. M.A.F.I.A. (The Hardworking Underestimated Geniuses Making All Finances In Appropriate Ways) is based in East Point, Georgia consisting of Rockford, Illinois native Benjamin "Death-Trap" Gulley and Atlanta, Georgia native Kevia "K-Steel" Stills. The group formed in late 2001, performing at local clubs and major music venues in and around South West Atlanta. The groups music style and production consist of synthesizers, keyboards, turntables, and heavy bass lines, along with the legendary talkbox after being heavily influenced by artists such as: Eazy-E, NWA, 2PAC, Dr. Dre, Geto Boys, Outkast, DJ QUIK, Goodie Mob, UGK, Scarface, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Twista, Zapp and Roger, Cameo, The Whispers, Loose Ends, Gheto Mafia, DJ SCREW, FAT PAT, Compton's Most Wanted, Too Short, Dayton Family, MC Eiht, Notorious BIG, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Dogg Pound, and many more.
The Group released their first single entitled "G-Funk Ova Crunk" in 2009 followed by their debut album in 2010 entitled, "Eternal Thuggin" off T.H.U.G. M.A.F.I.A. RECORDZ which included the hit single "Midnite Creep" which a video was shot on location in South Central Los Angeles later by directors Ces Hardy and Lorne Littlejohn and "Better Safe Than Sorry" which was produced by Death Trap.
The Group is currently working on their next group project entitled, "Fate & Consequencez" along with their own solo projects.
