In June 2007, T.J.Jones was listening to his homeboy, Craig Woolard and The CWB, a popular beach music band, play at his hometown summer festival when the washington, n.c. native decided to finally start his own act. More than forty years had passed as he sang lead and backup vocals for multiple bands and studio producers. It was time to do his own thing. The singer/songwriter had written a catolog of songs and wanted the world to hear them.
In Oct. 2007, he started Pamlico Sound Machine, an eight peice band he customed to fit his songs and vocal style and started recording his debut CD at CMR Entertainment Studio in Kinston, N.C. Releasing a three song promo CD in Jan. 2008, the promo was sent to a few beach music radio stations and mobile dee jays to test the marketability of his music. In That Boat Tonight, Party People and Turn The Carolins Out were so well received that Tee Jay continued to record his ten song all original CD in the midst of some hard times. The victim of sudden joblessness and homeless, he was unable to financially support his music endeavors by means of promotion, so, his music was heard very little throughout 2008. Now, in June 2009, he releases his debut CD "Do Me Good"
