T.T. Tucker

Tom Diventi was born and bred in Baltimore Maryland, he is the square peg in the donut hole of the universe. In 1977 he formed DA MORONICS , Baltimore's first Punk band. After hearing The Ramones and Sex Pistols records he and fellow bandmate and lead singer for DA MORONICS Bill Moriarty set out to write classic punk rock songs that could've only come out of Baltimore at that moment. Songs like Perry Mason USA, Fred Flintstone, Crippled Green Beret, Coma Baby, Sub Shop, Flying Saucers, and many more uniquely eccentric songs that placed the band into music history. By the early 1980's Punk had been neutralized and commercialized into extinction and Diventi pursued his poetic license with Apathy Press Poets, Baltimore's premiere underground small press. In 1990 he picked up his guitar once again and became T.T.Tucker, a traveling country western troubadour along with Carl Watson under the stage name Ramblin' Roy Darien, he and T.T.Tucker began playing gigs together in Baltimore and NYC. This started a revolving door of musicians playing with T.T.Tucker known as the Bum Rush Band. The name was acquired because wherever they played other musicians would rush the stage to join in the jam or hootenanny or gig or whatever you want to call it. Almost half a century later Tom Diventi is still writing songs and recording music. this latest offering is a collaboration with keyboard player Steven Cecil and a diverse group of musicians from around America.
