Talken Tunges came back to life from the ruins of the former Cincinnati blues rock band Mixed Breed when David Fisher looked up old bandmates Chris Basham and Jack Byrd in 2002. Soon, along with lyricist John Green,they began work on the album that would become On the Edge, a mix of their old rock style songs along with a new rock pop sound. Soon, drummer Tony Mann joined the band to be followed by multi-instrumentalist Don Stephens on bass.
