Tara studied at Brooklyn College's Conservatory of Music and the Department of Speech and Hearing Science. She opened for the International Festival in Haifa and represented Technion at the Jerusalem Festival in Israel. She has performed in South Florida, New York, Minnesota, Israel, Brazil, and the Carribean. She was a staff writer for the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinel. She taught Sunday Jewish classes at Fort Benning, Georgia as a U.S. Army spouse. She was Music Director for the Columbus Jewish Religious School and wrote and produced The Passover Play, a musical. She organized Songs for Soldiers distributing music to soldiers in the U.S. Army. She currently works with hospice patients and high school kids with special needs.
