At 18, Taylor Abrahamse is on his way. With song writing depth and an original style that has wowed Canadian music legends like Martin Tielli (of Rheostatics) and Rick Emmet (Of Triumph), its no surprise his self-maintained Youtube page totals nearly a quarter million video views.
Before Taylor could talk (which took till he was four), he was a nonstop hummer. After a stint as an Elvis impersonator at five, he begged his parents to get him into the acting business. Years of live concerts and acting jobs, including recurring work in 'Doc' (Paxtv), and most recently, a lead voice acting role in the Emmy-nominated childrens series 'The Future Is Wild' (Discovery Kids), has helped give Taylor a unique perspective on performance. In 2008, he was watched by over three million Canadians on Canadian Idol, making the Top 40. He also reached the top 25 in the internet-wide YobiSING competition, with over 40,000 views.
But Taylor's real spirit is an entrepreneurial one; he's not just waiting for the lottery. Constantly developing his song writing craft since the age of twelve, and fearlessly delving into any kind of song style or song improvisation, Taylor is inspired by artists from Anita O' Day to Zappa.
