Teenager hails from Auburn, NY, the city of tattoo parlors and drug stores. The five-member band performs original rock music with tinges of punk, psychedelic and alt-country. Teenager formed in 1998 for one short-lived summer month when the band hosted a weekly open mic night at a local bar. It was a period marked by intense creativity and yielded a series of 4-track recordings dubbed "Teenager & Other Found Effects." The band disbanded for miscellaneous reasons, but members played together in various incarnations over the years. In January 2007, the band reformed with three of its original members and songwriters—lead guitarist Donny Alger, rhythm guitarist Teddy Curry, and bassist Taylor Price. Taylor, Donny, & Teddy were joined by Beth Beer on drums and Theresa Walsh on keyboards, accordion and concertina.
In December 2007, the newest line-up released their critically acclaimed studio recording debut "Entitled." On the heels of their critical success they played a handful of shows in Central New York during the summer. In Fall 2008, they began recording their follow-up "All Kids Free" which was released in April 2009.
