The Caroling Company

Biography

The a cappella ensemble has won a reputation for excellence by using creative original arrangements of traditional favorites and contemporary jazz songs. They specialize in performing the classic Alfred Burt carols. Diane, Alfred Burt’s daughter, is a founding member and director of the group. Individually, the members of THE CAROLING COMPANY have performed with some of the top names in show business on stage, in concert, on recordings and on television. By blending these creative talents together, they have achieved the unique quality that identifies them as “THE CAROLING COMPANY”.

THE CAROLING COMPANY began singing together to bring the spirit of Christmas to hospitals, children's homes and shut-ins. Their popularity has grown over the years and the group has performed throughout the entertainment industry, ranging from private celebrity parties, corporations and major hotels to gala Christmas events.

On film, they appeared in the opening credits of the hit Paramount Pictures' film, "The Addams Family", starring Angelica Houston and Raul Julia. They also appeared with Bill Murray in the well-known hit film, "Scrooged".

This year, the group will be performing primarily in the Southern California area and will be performing new arrangements of carols as well as selections from their CDs. In 2003 VAG Records released “A Christmas Present from The Caroling Company” and in 2004 the group was featured on “The Alfred Burt Carols Golden Anniversary Collection”, still in stores nation wide and available on line.

They have appeared in concert with The Judds, Charlie Pride, Garth Brooks and others at the Universal Amphitheater and also sang there in concert with Andy Williams. They have been featured at the Music Center for Ronald McDonald House Charities and have performed with many local symphonies for Christmas concerts all over Southern California.

Their television credits are too numerous to mention, but a few of the standouts are ABC's "GOOD MORNING AMERICA", "THE HOME SHOW", "GENERAL HOSPITAL", NBC's "HOT COUNTRY NIGHTS", Fox TV's "CHRISTMAS IN BEVERLY HILLS WITH JAMES STEWART", KCAL 9's "LIVE IN L.A." and "THE GEORGE AND ALANA SHOW". You have heard them sing on KOST 103.5 FM with "Mark and Kim", KIIS-FM, KWAV 94.7 FM ("THE WAVE"), KLAC with Brad Chambers, KRTH 101, KZLA and National Public Radio. You will also hear them on the Brian Setzer Big Band Christmas CD, “Boogie Woogie Christmas”.

Throughout the years, THE CAROLING COMPANY hasn't forgotten the reason they started. Every year, they walk the wards at Childrens' Hospital, bring smiles to children at Hollygrove Children's Home and donate their time to various churches, nursing homes and charity events.
