The Civilians was a Fort Worth, Texas based melodic rock band who made music from 1995 until their last show in January of 2000. Solid writing, tight arrangements, & polished musicianship powered their songs.
The members went their separate ways after 2000:
Frontman matthew reincarnated himself as the matthew show, releasing his critically acclaimed debut solo disc, 'texas', in 2003 on the Naive Music label.
