From the moment they took flight in 2000 with their first release, TALES OF DRUNKENNESS AND CRUELTY, The Condors knew they were on to something special -- pop songs with attitude, power, and intellect.
The Condors’ second CD, WAIT FOR IT, garnered a great deal of airplay and glowing reviews in South America, Europe, and the United States. The album track, “Set Me on Fire,” was used in the opening scene of the indie film, TARGET PRACTICE, with the music video a featured extra on the DVD. WAIT FOR IT made numerous “Best Of” lists, and was voted “Disc of the Month” by Spain’s prestigious POWER POP ACTION! website.
The Condors’ spirited 3 ITEM COMBO CD, on Vital Gesture Records, delved into more personal and emotional themes while still retaining the group’s trademark grit. Once again, they enlisted producer/engineer Steve Refling to guide the band into previously uncharted territories
In advance of their next CD, they've released two singles, the Americana inspired "Back to Jackson," and the instrumental "High Chaparral."
The band’s one constant has been songwriter and front man, Pat “Pooch” DiPuccio, but past and present band members have added their stamp on each incarnation of The Condors. Formed out of the remnants of several groups, this Los Angeles band has grown into a tight, proficient outfit; logging many hours recording in the studio and playing live shows.
Their current lineup consists of singer/guitarist Patrick DiPuccio, bassist Tony Fate, and drummer John Murphy. Together they create a full and energetic sound that ignites their live shows. Go see them and find out for yourself why the critics have sung the praises of The Condors.
