The Flying Pigs

Biography

Das Aeroschwein, the not-quite-German name for The Flying Pigs, exemplifies the Reading-area quartet's approach to music: If the proper way doesn't sound right, make something up.

This mantra has resulted in a devastating fusion of classic rock, funk, and heavy metal, along with a dash of enthusiasm and a sprinkle of sarcasm. Over the past few years, the band has gathered a small but loyal following, built on excellent musicianship, kickass songs, and a comfortable banter between both the audience and the band members themselves.

Their annual benefit concert for the Make-A-Wish foundation, Christmachannukkalypse, is a must-see event that regularly raises hundreds of dollars to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Through it all, the Pigs are slowly but surely grasping on to the foothold of mainstream fame. Want to come along for the ride?
