The Gone is the studio project of resident Cavern Club musician Martin Davies..( Yes THE Cavern Club in Liverpool ! ). 60's influenced Garage Rock/pop inspired by the sun drenched melodies of 60's American garage bands, the beat of the Cavern and Merseybeat and the energy of 70's New Wave. Martin has played over 2,500 gigs in his career, including gigs with many legends such as Elvis's backing singers The Sweet Inspirations, The Crickets, rock n roll stars such as Charlie Gracie and erm..Bucks Fizz ! As the bassist for The shakers, Martin has rocked the Cavern Club every weekend for the last 4 years, and plans for the band in 2013 include a trip to the States. He has played all over the world and is held in high regard as a dynamic energetic bass player who helps bring a pulsating beat to the best Merseybeat band around.
The Gone's first album, Pink Pills For Pale People is released in February 2013 . Featuring nine pulsating and atmospheric 60's feel tracks. Based in Manchester UK, Martin plays all the instruments and prodeces the album himself.
