The Hustlers

Biography

In the summer of 1980, old friends Ricky Weaver and Jimmy Woodard started getting together in Weavers' kitchen to play the music they both loved, the blues. Woodard was playing guitar in a southern rock band at the time with drummer Tim Wilson. In 1982 the guitarist left the group to form Blue Steel with harp player Weaver and bass player Ron Galloway. Many years, miles, and bands would pass until in 1992 when Ron, Ricky, and Jimmy would find themselves in the popular blues band, Radon Rick & The Radiators. Tim Wilson would later join that band as drummer and stayed on until 2000.

In 2004 their interest was rekindled when they became aware that their music was being played and enjoyed on blues radio shows on a regular basis. By 2006, Rick, Tim Ron, and Jimmy had regrouped with a new attitude and purpose as The Hustlers. That purpose was to play music that they loved, and take it to the people. "We hope you dig this music as much as we dig playing it."

The Hustlers are:
