The Last Act

Biography

The Last Act is coercing together a fresh hardrock sound with a touch of metal, complete with an “old skool rock” kind-of feel, these guys have created a new but familiar hard rocking sound.

Black Sabbath - Iron Maiden - 3 Days Grace - Rush - Old Metallica - Megadeth (old and new) - Kill Switch Engage - Soundgarden

If you like anything on the heavier side like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, 3 Days Grace (a bit heavier than this), Megadeth (old and new), old Metallica, old (and some new) Rush, or any of these kinds of bands chances are really good you will enjoy this band. Imagine a roughed out combination of all of these with a totally new and original sound and you got the Last Act.

People have called the Last Act things like "Perfect" and
"Genius". It is said that it is some of the only REAL rock remaining and being created today.

The Last Act was re-formed in 2007 with the focus of creating music that the band members were craving but were unable to find in the market place today. Their primary focus is to create music that THEY love, cannot get enough of hearing, and cannot find anywhere else!

The North American Defiance Tour 2010-11 started early 2010 following the initial release of their 3rd CD titled “Still Standing”, with the first leg hitting mid size venues in major centers across Canada. The second version of this disc, remixed and remastered, was released in November 2010.

Work was started on Still Standing in the fall of 2007 with the addition of Paul Larsen. Jason Turnbull was added to the band in the winter of 2008, and Andrew Whiting filled the role of drummer in spring 2009. Shortly after the release of the new disc "Still Standing", Andrew was replaced by Taylor Sanderson. Each member has brought with them significant talent and writing abilities!! This can be seen with the new release "Still Standing".
