The Longest Night (TLN)
Home : Bridgetown, Barbados
The Longest Night or TLN is a three-man Rock unit out of Barbados. The three year-old band has completed its first album. Entitled State of Attention, the album is a musical journey flowing smoothly over fusions of reggae, rock and alternative.
Robbi Sélin leads the group and takes lead responsibility for songwriting, melody composition and vocals in the band. He is ably supported by Evil Will and his wicked guitar riffs, and heavy hitting Bobby Havoc on drums. Initially, TLN was a four-man unit and included Jahz and his talking bass. Jahz has subsequently left the band to pursue other interests and TLN augments its performances with session bass players.
TLN is receiving great reviews from their ever growing fan base and the group has no intentions of resting on its laurels. TLN has performed internationally at King King and The Mint in Los Angeles and locally at Kensington Oval, The Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre, The Richard Haynes Boardwalk and Hastings Rocks Esplanade and has received airplay on local radio stations including 104.1 FM and MIX 96.9 FM.
The band was nominated and, eventually won, the Will’s Room Best New Artist Award in 2012. This was an on-line contest sponsored by the Will’s Room Radio Show in Ireland. In addition, their songs have been chosen as “Song of the Week” several times on the Paddy Radio Show in the United Kingdom. They have also gained a mention in several music blogs.
TLN is hard at work creating new music, ensuring that they keep their fans happy. Robbi and Bobby are busy churning out interesting melodies and Evil Will keeps the riffs coming.
