The Magnolias

Biography

The Magnolias have been a revered Minneapolis power-pop institution for
more than a quarter-century, bringing their intensely tight,
high-energy Buzzcocks/Clash/Undertones-influenced rock to audiences
throughout the United States beginning in 1984. The band enjoyed an
initial stint on Minneapolis' famed Twin-Tone Records, as well as Alias
and SMA. The quartet's new, 11-song disc "Pop The Lock" appears on VETO
Records. The band has plans to perform in the U.S., as well as a third tour of
Europe in 2012 in support of the record.

Pop the Lock
2011
A "blistering" 11 song set. "Pop The Lock" is the first Magnolias studio album in 15 years. It "features instant Magnolias classics such as "Top of the Charts," "At A Disadvantage" and "Kissing the Ground You're On, among others". Rock'n'roll (pop-punk) that's hard, melodic, loud and tight. Songs that are honest, from the heart and from the gut. Where all great music surfaces from.
